Hvannadalshnjúkur is Iceland’s highest mountain at 2110 meters, the second highest of the Nordic peaks. Beaten only by Norway’s Galdhøpiggen (2469 meters) but higher than Kebnekaise (2097 meters). Hvannadalshnjúkur is located on the Öræfajökull volcano on the edge of Iceland’s largest glacier Vatnajökull.
